Calliope Claims the Heart features songwriter Todd Powell on vocals and ukulele/keyboard, George Seccombe on guitar and vocals, Wayne Pair on upright bass, and Anne Pair on drums. Their original songs are inspired by literature and history, by the spaces and places where we live and explore, by the ways we love and the ways we sometimes forget to love--and their sound is reminiscent of the heyday of Tin Pan Alley, with a little bit blues, a little bit country, a little bit folk . . . and all that jazz.
